Chairman of Shanker Group Shanker Lal Agrawal conferred with ‘Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Chaturtha’

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Shanker Group Shanker Lal Agrawal (Golyan) has been conferred with ‘Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Chaturtha’.

Agrawal was conferred on the occasion of the fifth Constitution Day.

The Shanker Group had paid Rs 18 billion in revenue to the government from all its businesses in the last fiscal year. The business, founded by Rawat Mal Golyan in 1960, was the first step of the present Shanker Group.

Rawat’s youngest son Shanker Lal Agrawal started adding new bricks to the industry started by his father. He laid the foundation stone of Shanker Group in 1979.

The list of industries established by Shankar Lal Agrawal is growing every year. The group has invested in mining, cement, steel, synthetics, textiles, FMCG, insurance, capital markets, real estate, hotels, etc. The company has also been selling many brands of goods and services.

The company, which has been investing in areas ranging from electronics to automobiles, has also set up a TVS motorcycle assembly unit in Nepal. The company has made great strides in the last 45 years under his leadership.
