KMC expands online revenue collection service



KATHMANDU: The online determination and collection of revenue started by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is found effective. The metropolis had launched this service from its Ward No 26 on September 17.

The determination and collection of revenue through the online system was also started at KMC ward no 1, 2, 3, 4,10,11,15, 26, 30 and 31 on the same day.

This service has been expanded to 10 more wards of the metropolis from today after it became effective. It has been expanded to KMC ward no. 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 28, 29 and 32.

KMC stated that Rs 3.6 million revenue has been collected from 257 tax-payers through this system in the last three days.

KMC Revenue Department director Shivaraj Adhikari said the main function of this system is tax and revenue archiving, and automation of the work related to tax determination and collection.

According to him, this system would come into operation at all the wards of the metropolis by this weekend.
