Schools in Kailali preparing to begin learning activities

KAILALI: Local levels in Kailali have begun preparing to resume teaching and learning activities in the schools. The schools remain closed for the past six months following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The preparation has begun in accordance with the Student Learning Facilitation Guidelines-2077 introduced by the government. According, school enrollment has begun on September 17.

Meanwhile, institutional and private schools in Tikapur municipality area have begun enrollment and distribution of textbooks by observing the prescribed health protocol.

The process has begun to resume teaching and learning activities through online, offline and remote learning methods in Tikapur, said the chief of the Tikapur municipality education section Daman Singh Chaudhary.

However, the environment is not yet right for running classes in the school itself.

Though the government has suggested alternative education, including radio classes, it is difficult as not all schools have access to internet services.

Some 45,000 students are studying in 34 communities and 40 private and institutional schools in Tikapur municipality.
