Train handed over to Nepali officials



JANAKPUR: The Nepal government-owned rail that arrived at Janakpurdham on Friday afternoon is handed over to Nepali officials of Nepal Rail Department and Nepal Railway Company Limited from the Indian rail developer company’s representatives.

The rail is scheduled to be operated from Kurta of Dhanusha to Jainagar.

The rail was handed over to General Manager of the Nepal Railway Company Limited Guru Prasad Bhattarai by Konkan Railway Corporation Limited Mechanical Chief Deepak Tripathi.

After receiving the rail, GM Bhattarai shared that the preparations were on to operate the rail service from the upcoming Dashain festival, after a month.

It was purchased at Rs 839.3 million by Nepal Government on the basis of government to government (G to G) agreement.
