Man from Bhaktapur dies of COVID-19 at Bir Hospital

BHAKTAPUR: A septuagenarian man from undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital succumbed to the coronavirus on Friday.

According to Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha, the 74-year-old man from the municipality was taken to hospital three days ago after he had respiratory problems.

He was diagnosed with the coronavirus seven days ago.

Mayor Shrestha added that seven members of the family of the deceased have been confirmed to have coronavirus and they are under home isolation.

The number of deaths due to coronavirus infection in the district has reached 17. Of them, 11 are from Madhyapur Thimi.
