Gandaki Pradesh records 56 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Fifty-six additional coronavirus cases have been reported in Gandaki Pradesh on Friday afternoon.

The cases were confirmed during tests at the laboratories of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Chitwan, Chitwan Medical College, Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara, and Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, informed the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh.

The newly infected are 34 from Nawalparasi, four from Tanahun, 17 from Kaski and one from Syangja. With this, the number of infection cases has reached 3,336 in Gandaki Pradesh.

Preparations are underway to take all the infected to the respective districts of the province, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh.
