Cricketer Bhandari undergoes successful surgery



KATHMANDU: National cricket team member Lalit Singh Bhandari injured in a road mishap has undergone successful surgery on Thursday.

According to Cricket Players Association Nepal (CPAN), Bhandari underwent successful major surgery at the Grande International Hospital and is currently under observation.

Bhandari was airlifted to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj Medical College on Tuesday evening.

Member of the National cricket team, Bhandari and Karan Thagunna, had met with an accident at Jhalari in Kanchanpur on Sunday evening when a truck hit the motorcycle the cricketers were riding.

He was taken to Nepalgunj Medical College from the Dhangadhi-based Nisarga Hospital.

A truck — Se 1 Kha 1324 — heading toward Mahendranagar from Dhangadhi hit the motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 4705) the cricketers were riding.
