KATHMANDU: Heavy rainfall has occurred in Ilam, Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari districts of Province 1 in the last 24 hours.
With the low pressure monsoon trough, 250 millimeters of rainfall has been recored in the district headquarters Chandragadhi of Jhapa, according to a press note issued by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Similarly, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and the areas bordering India have witnessed moderate to heavy rains, triggering floods in the rivers in these areas.
Likewise, heavy rains have also occurred in Chitwan and Kaski districts, according to the Flood Information Center. Kalikhola along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section has also witnessed heavy rains.
People living along the banks of the rivers in these areas have been advised to take precaution warning that the floods might occur in these rivers.
Likewise, Pokhara in Kaski district, Tanahun, Lamjung, Syangja, Baglung, Parbat have also witnessed heavy rains.
Currently, rain is occurring in some places of Province 1, Bagmati Pradesh and Gandaki Pradesh, according to MFD.
