Kathmandu DAO allows holding language tests

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office (DAO) has revised its previous prohibitory order on some activities.

The DAO Kathmandu issued a press release on Friday, stating that professional exams including languages test (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, and GMAT) could be conducted following the health protocol adopted by the government and the standard recently issued by the Ministry of Education.

These tests were halted due to the ongoing threat of pandemic outbreak caused by COVID-19. The previous order issued on September 8 was lifted to open the business but it was silent regarding such examinations.

The DAO further stated that aspirants to go outside the Kathmandu Valley should take permission from the DAO.

Similarly, VISA issuing authority could be opened and the transportation of the persons going abroad would be made further easier.
