More than 96,000 infected in India in past 24 hrs

KATHMANDU: The number of daily infection cases has reached a new high with over 96,000 in India.

With 96,760 infection cases in the past 24 hours, the number has reached 4,559,725 in India on Friday morning. The daily infection cases were 95,529 on Thursday.

According to Worldometer, 3,539,983 among those infected have returned home after recovery. Currently, 943,438 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centers.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus has crossed 76,000. With 1,213 deaths in the past 24 hours, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 76,304 as of Friday morning.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, coronavirus has killed 913,259 and infected 28,316,416 across the world.
