55-year-old man held on rape charge



JANAKPURDHAM: Police have arrested a 55-year-old man on the alleged charge of raping a teenage girl in Dhanusha district.

The arrested is Badrinath Sah of Laxminiya rural municipality-2, Sinarjoda, informed Makendra Mishra, the spokesperson for District Police Office, Dhanusha.

According to police, Sah lured her to his before taking her to the roof-top of his house where he raped her on September 5.

Police arrested him from his hideout in Mathiyani of Mahottari on Wednesday night. He had fled his house after committing the crime.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking Sah into police custody.
