India records over 95,000 COVID-19 cases in a single day

KATHMANDU: India has set a new record with over 95,000 coronavirus cases in a single day.

As many as 95, 529 cases were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 4,462,965 on Wednesday morning.

Earlier on Monday, 91,723 cases had been reported in India.

Meanwhile,  3,466,819 people infected with coronavirus have recovered while 921,055 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centers across the country.

Similarly, the death toll from the coronavirus has crossed 75,000 in India.

With 1,168 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 75,091, according to Worldometer.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the COVID-19 has killed 907,248 and infected 28,011,870 across the world.
