KATHMANDU: The 107th birth anniversary of BP Koirala who contributed to the field of the Nepali politics and literature is being celebrated across the country on Wednesday.

The Nepali Congress is commemorating BP Koirala on the occasion of his 107th birth anniversary through a virtual meeting for three days starting today.

Issuing a press note on Tuesday, Krishna Prasad Paudel, chief secretary at the NC Central Office, said the BP birth anniversary will be celebrated for three days through a virtual meeting starting Wednesday.

“A three-day program has been set,” Paudel said, adding, “The discussion on “BP’s Thoughts and the Prosperity of Nepal” will take place at 1 pm today.

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Senior Leader Ram Chandra Paudel and the top leaders will take part in the discussion.

On the second day (Thursday), the discussion on Nepal’s International Relations and BP’s Contribution to Foreign Policy will be held. Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi among others will deliver their speeches on the topic.

Similarly, Narahari Acharya, Pradeep Giri will deliver their views on ‘ideology building based on BP’s thoughts in the present context’ on Friday.

The NC central committee has dispatched a circular to all the districts and sister organizations to mark BP Jayanti (birth anniversary).
