NC General Secretary Shashanka Koirala tests COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Shashanka Koirala has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The infection was confirmed on him during a test carried out at the Teku based National Public Health Laboratory.

Swab samples of Koirala, personal secretary and other members of the secretariat and some central members were reexamined at the laboratory after a suspicious result in tests at HAMS Hospital.

Koirala also had a fever of 99.8 F on Monday, according to his secretariat.

According to his personnel secretary Bharat Tiwari, his health condition was normal.
