2,161 Nepal Police personnel diagnosed COVID-19 positive so far



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus cases among Nepal Police personnel have been sharply increasing across the country, with 629 infected in Kathmandu Valley alone.

A total of 2,161 personnel of Nepal Police have been diagnosed coronavirus positive so far.

Among them, 1,211 are currently receiving treatment at hospitals and isolation centers while 950 have been discharged.

A total of 71 working at the police headquarters and 558 in the Kathmandu Valley are currently under isolation.

According to Nepal Police Spokesperson SSP Kuber Kadayat, 210 in Province 1, 73 in Province 2, 60 in Bagmati, 81 in Gandaki, 104 in Province 5, 37 in Karnali and 17 in Sudurpaschim Province are currently receiving treatment.
