Diesel tanker turns turtle in Thankot



KATHMANDU: A tanker carrying diesel has met with an accident at the entrance of Nepal Oil Corporation’s Thankot depot.

According to the Corporation’s Thankot depot, the tanker coming from Raxaul to Kathmandu slipped and fell on the field while turning towards the depot.

Depot Chief Pradip Kumar Yadav informed that the tanker — Na 7 Kha 739 — carrying 20,000 liters of diesel met with an accident some time ago.

Yadav said that the driver and others inside the tanker were safe and 3,000 liters of oil have been spilled. “As soon as we got the information that the tanker slid away, we called a dozer and lifted lifted the tanker,” he said.
