Govt annuls contract with Shailung and Hobiko

KATHMANDU: The government has blacklisted two contracting companies and annul the contract with them for failing to supply chemical fertilizers on time.

The Shailung Construction Company run by Sharada Prasad Adhikari and Hobiko Multiple Company of Hom Nath Koirala have been blacklisted.

The government has decided to annul the contract with the companies as farmers have not been able to get fertilizers across the country.

The government has also seized Rs 50 million deposit from each of the companies.

It should be noted that Adhikari is the house owner of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Koirala, meanwhile, is said to have been good ties with Nepali Congress party.

These two companies were entrusted to supply fertilizers in March.
