BUTWAL: The Rupandehi administration has eased and extended the lockdown as a measure to contain the spread of coronavirus in the community level.
It is extended by a week more from coming midnight.
The meeting of the district crisis management centre held yesterday recommended the district security committee for easing and extending the existing prohibitory order. With this, the prohibitory order will remain in place throughout the district till midnight of September 13.
However, the traders are allowed to open the business from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm while the shops of daily essentials can remain open till 9:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The press release issued by the Chief District Officer Mahadev Pant mentioned that the government offices should provide services without making crowds and by maintaining adequate safety measures. Similarly, all sorts of bank and financial institutions in the district could also provide service by avoiding the crowd and maintaining sufficient health and safety measures.
The industrial and supply sectors will also follow suit, while the places of gathering as shopping complex, department store, saloon, library, swimming pool, recreational sites remained closed. Conference, assembly and seminar are also banned.
In the case of transportation along the highway in the district, only essential vehicles are allowed. The vehicles used for essential supply are of medicine, foodstuff, fuel, cooking gas, vegetables and fruits, milk, information and communication.
