NC Prez Deuba calls for observing Gaura festival staying indoors



KATHMANDU: President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has wished good health, prosperity and longevity to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Gaura festival.

Giving a message on this occasion, the former prime minister said Nepal prides on diversity in religion, culture and language.

Among the festivals, Gaura festival also has specificity and deep impression in people’s life, especially in the Sudurpaschim State, he reminded, wishing that the Gaura festival helped foster further unity and harmony among the Nepali people.

President Deuba further reminded the growing spread of coronavirus across the country and urged the people to celebrate the Gaura festival by staying indoors.
