Province 1 lawmaker Shrestha tests positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Kushum Shrestha, lawmaker of Province 1 Assembly, has been infected with COVID-19.

She had been elected as a Province assembly member from the Nepal Communist Party.

Posting a Facebook message on Wednesday, Shrestha confirmed that she was infected with pandemic virus.

She wrote, “‘I could not remain untouched by the COVID-19. I had a swab test on August 8 and the report came out positive for the virus. All the dignitaries who will be in touch with Nayanji and me within a week should be alert and vigilant.”
