Two die at Butwal-based Coronavirus Special Hospital

BUTWAL: Two people have died in the course of treatment at Special Coronavirus Hospital at Butwal in Rupandehi district.

Two men aged 25 and 42, who had been admitted to the hospital after showing signs of coronavirus, passed away on Tuesday night.

Two among seven coronavirus patients who were undergoing treatment at ICU succumbed to the virus, said hospital’s Spokesperson Dr Bishnu Gautam.

The 42-year-old man who had been admitted to the hospital on August 9 had been diagnosed with the virus on the same day.

He was being treated on ventilator after his condition went worse.

Similarly, the other 25-year-old youth also died while undergoing treatment at Special Coronavirus Hospital, said hospital sources.

He had been taken to Special Coronavirus Hospital from Lumbini Provincial Hospital after he showed signs of coronavirus on Tuesday.

However, his PCR test result is yet to come out.  One of the deceased is from Krishnanagar while the other is from Taulihawa.
