Coronavirus infects 54,923 in a single day in Brazil



KATHMANDU: Brazil has reported 3,112,393 coronavirus cases as of Wednesday morning.

As many as 54,923 new infection cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to Worldometer. Similarly, 1,242 people died from coronavirus in a single day, taking the country’s tally to 113,099.

Currently, 777,170 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 2,243,124 have returned home after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China on last December, the COVID-19 has killed 744,691 and infected 20,505,144 people across the world.
