155 Nepalis stranded in Qatar back home

DOHA: A total of 155 Nepalis stranded in Qatar due to the closure of international flights have returned home on Sunday.

According to Praveen Bhattarai, Second Secretary at the Nepali Embassy in Qatar, 155 Nepalis, including five women, returned home on a Himalaya Airlines flight from Doha to Kathmandu.

Representatives of the Nepali community, including Bhattarai, were present at the Hamad International Airport to facilitate the departure of those returning home.

Similarly, Nepal Airlines will hold rescue flights today and tomorrow while Himalaya Airlines will be operating another chartered flight this evening.
