Heavy rainfall forecast for four provinces today

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted heavy rainfall for four out of seven provinces on Sunday.

In weather bulletin for today, it stated that there are chances of heavy rainfall at a few places of Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

It added that the weather will be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country with light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the country.

A similar weather pattern with heavy rainfall also in Karnali Province has been forecast for tonight.

The met office has asked to adopt precaution for the coming 24 hours as the water level in the rivers in the abovementioned provinces may increase, landslides might occur in hilly area and road and air traffic may be affected and inundation may take place in areas with no proper drainage.
