Resham Chaudhary admitted to Bir Hospital



KATHMANDU: Suspended lawmaker Resham Chaudhary who is serving a jail term after being convicted in the Tikapur incident has been admitted to Bir Hospital for treatment on Friday afternoon.

According to Jailor Ganesh Acharya at Dillibazar prison, he was admitted to Bir Hospital after complaints of heart pain and swelling of legs for the past two days.

Chaudhary was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the Tikapur incident in which eight persons including SP Laxman Neupane and a minor were killed on August 29, 2015.

Chaudhary was elected to the House of Representatives from Kailali Constituency-1.
