KATHMANDU: It has been revealed that Gyanendra Yadav, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province 2, who had tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday, had met Prime Minister, Home Minister and the Inspector General of Police and Law Minister among others in Kathmandu.
Yadav, who returned to Janakpur after staying in Kathmandu for a few days, was diagnosed with the infection on Wednesday night.
He is in home isolation in Janakpur after the infection was confirmed.
Before leaving for Janakpur on Sunday, he had a meeting with the top leadership of the federal government. However, it has not clear where he had contracted coronavirus.
Minister Yadav had a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Home Secretary Maheshwar Neupane in Baluwatar. He had joined the meeting of the Coordination Committee on Police Integration to endorse the organization and management survey proposal.
During the meeting, he had met with Prime Minister Oli, Home Minister Thapa, Ministers of Internal Affairs and Law of seven provinces, Home Secretary, Advisor to the Home Minister and Inspector General of Police.
Similarly, he had met Law Minister Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe in Kathmandu.
