Kathmandu Valley witnesses 62 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley confirmed 62 fresh coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, Ministry of Health and Population said.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Wednesday afternoon, Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that 57 cases have been reported in Kathmandu and five in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, the country’s coronavirus tally has reached 21,390 after 381 people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

A total of 15,156 have recovered across the country so far after 130 discharged from hospital and isolation centers in the past 24 hours, he shared.

At present, 6,174 people are in isolation and 9, 925 are in quarantines.

Nepal’s death toll stands at 60 after a new death reported, Spokesperson Dr. Gautam said.
