Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll hits 59 as 18-yr-old dies in Parsa

BIRGUNJ:  One more person has died due to coronavirus in Parsa district, taking the death toll in Nepal to 59.

An 18-year-old girl from Pokhariya municipality-9 was confirmed infected with COVID-19 after her swab sample report came out positive during test at Narayani Hospital on Tuesday night.

The girl was suffering from diarrhea and died on Monday while being rushed to National Medical College for treatment.

Her swab sample had been collected and sent to the laboratory of Narayani Hospital for coronavirus screening. The swab test result conducted posthumously came out postive last night.

With this the number of people to have died from coronavirus in Parsa district has reached 13.

Over 21,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in Nepal.
