Coronavirus kills 696,817, infects over 18.4 million across world

KATHMANDU: More than 18,434,883 people have been infected with coronavirus pandemic across the world as of Tuesday morning.

Until this news was drafted, 199, 312 people were infected with the virus in a single day. With this, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 has reached 18,434,883 globally.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 4,366 people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 696,817.

Coronavirus has killed 204,059 and infected 2,923,590 people in the European countries. Meanwhile, 1,755,204 have recovered from the coronavirus.

As many as 222,820 have died and 5,709, 233 have been infected from coronavirus in North America. Meanwhile, 2,989,052 have recovered.

Likewise, 100,679 have died and 4,523,351 have been infected from the virus in Asia. Meanwhile, 3,357,771 have recovered from the virus.

South America has witnessed 148,327 deaths and 4,285,594 infection cases, of which 2,917,783 have recovered from the coronavirus.

Similarly, 20,671 have died and 972,278 have been infected in Africa, of which 622,929 have returned home after recovery.

Similarly, 246 have died and 20,107 have been infected in Australia and Oceania. Meanwhile, 12,276 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China, the coronavirus has spread to 113 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
