Police arrest ‘Enough is Enough’ campaigners from Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested youth leaders of ‘Enough is Enough’ movement protesting against the government’s corruption, negligence and recklessness towards the threats posed by the wide spreading coronavirus pandemic.

The leaders of Youth Congress Nepal (YCN) including its central coordinator Sachin Timilsina, central members Bidhyut Lamichhane and Manoj Puri, and , coordinator of YCN Bagmati Deepesh Tamang, who had been to the protest site in front of Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to express solidarity with the issues raised by ‘Enough is Enough’ movement have been arrested on Friday.

‘Enough is Enough’ campaign has been protesting against the corruption, negligence and recklessness towards the threats posed by COVID-19 pandemic. “The police have come aggressively against the peaceful protestors seeking justice, accountability and transparency,” Sachin Timilsina, YCN said.
