Two women die after falling off cliff in Rukum West



RUKUM: Two women have died after falling off a cliff in Rukum West.

According to District Police Office (DPO), Rukum West, Sarita Bohara died after she fell off a cliff while she was tending goats in the jungle of Baphikot rural municipality-3.

Critically injured Sarita breathed her last while being rushed to hospital, said Sitaram Devkota, a local.

Similarly, 40-year-old Sushila Malla of Kholagaun in Chaurjahari municipality-11 died after she fell off a cliff while collecting fodders for her cattle.

A total of eight women died due to landslides and other causes in Rukum West in the past one month, according to DPO, Rukum West.
