Police seize 15 kg gold, 2 pistols from Kamaladi



KATHMANDU: Police have seized 15 kilograms of gold along with two pistols from Kamaladi on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off that the gold was being smuggled, a team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Durbar Marg recovered the huge amount of gold left behind by a person.

Police found the 15 kg of gold and two pistols inside a bag left behind by a person who ran away helter-skelter on a vehicle after noticing police.

Police said they have marked the vehicle number but the smuggler is yet to be arrested. They are searching him.

They will soon unveil the details of the incident by organizing a press meet, police said.
