NCP senior leaders agree to hold Standing Committee meet on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat members, including Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have said that Tuesday’s meeting of the Standing Committee meeting should be held at any cost.

A meeting of NCP leaders including Chairman Dahal, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, and Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha held at Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar this morning decided to hold the Standing Committee meeting on Tuesday.

Chairman Dahal is also learned to have discussed the issue with party Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa today.

It should be noted that the party’s Standing Committee meeting has been repeatedly postponed in a bid to narrow down the internal rift in the party.

The SC meeting that started on June 24 has been stalled since July 2.
