Journalist Rijal launches new book ‘Ekantabas’



KATHMANDU: Journalist Binod Babu Rijal’s latest book ‘Ekantabas’ or Isolation has hit the book stands. The book is a lockdown diary compiling his experience and learning during the lockdown imposed worldwide to check the spread of Coronavirus.

Every day of the lockdown period between 2076 BS Chait 11 to 2077 BS Jetha 32 has been described through an essay, highlighting the reason behind every activity and consequences, said litterateur Bal Krishna Thapaliya.

Contemporary socio-economic and political issues have also been included in the book. Chairperson of FNJ, Chitwan Radheshyam Khatiwada lauded the effort of journalist Rijal, while pointing out the need to encourage media persons into literary creations as well.

Rijal, who began his journalism career in 2061 BS, is an editor with Kayakairan vernacular daily. The 300-pages book is published by the Eureka Publications.
