JAMMU & KASHMIR: At least three militants were killed in an encounter with Indian security forces this morning in Amshipora of Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Indian media reports said the three militants killed in the encounter are believed to have been affiliated to Hizbul Mujahideen, a terror outfit.
The encounter broke out when a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area, reports said.
According to an official, the militants fired upon the security forces when the latter approached the area.
This is second encounter in last 24 hours in Kashmir. Yesterday, three Jaish militants were killed in Kulgam district of Kashmir.
