1,249 Nepalis return home via chartered flights today

KATHMANDU: The government has intensified facilitation to bring back Nepalis stranded abroad. They are brought home via chartered flights.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), 15 chartered flights were made, carrying 1,249 Nepali on Friday alone. Aircrafts belonging to Nepal Airlines carried 168 Nepali from Doha while 146 from Dammam.

Similarly, Himalayan Airlines made two flights bringing 154 and 149 in each flight. Likewise, Jazeera Airlines made two flights carrying 156 and 153 Nepali in each flight from Kuwait.

Qatar Airlines brought two Nepali from Qatar. Meanwhile, Nepal Airlines aircrafts and Himalaya Airlines flew to Riyadh, Bahrain and Doha to bring Nepalis to home. The TIA sources added that there will be 11 flights on Saturday as well.

TIA has further shared that nine chartered domestic flights were made on Friday itself.
