Govt waives renewal fee for mass media



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to waive the renewal fee for mass media in the wake of lockdown enforced to stem the spread of coronavirus.

A meeting of Cabinet held on Monday decided to that effect, said Government Spokesperson and Minister for Finance, Communications and Information Technology Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada on Thursday.

He said that the National Broadcasting Rules 2077, Radio Communication Rules 2077 and Film Rules 2077 have been amended and published in the Nepal Gazette.
