Monsoon wreaks havoc in Tilathi Koiladi, inundates 50 houses



SAPTARI:  Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality in Saptari district has been inundated by swollen Khando River.

According to the rural municipality, as many as 50 houses were deluged by the flood waters at Belhi tole in the rural municipality that borders India.

The incessant rain has inundated Belhi tole, said Upendra Yadav, a local. Belhi Custom Office, the market area, police post and Rajbiraj-Tilathi road section have also been under water, according to Yadav.

Similarly, 10 dead bodies have also been brought into the village by the swollen Khando River.

Scores of families in Tilathi and Belhi village have been facing problems due to floods and landslides almost every year during the rainy season.
