KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has instructed office-bearers of Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) to work for the welfare of the Pashupati area’s broader development.
Minister Bhattarai asked PADT officials to forward all projects under the Broader Pashupati Area Development through a public hearing by inviting the representatives of federal, state and local levels, and political parties at a meeting today.
He also asked the officials to take stock about the implementation status of 48-point directives.
It should be recalled that Minister Bhattarai had on January 11 had given a 48-point directive about the activities to be carried out by the Trust.
Likewise, Minister Bhattarai also instructed the Trust office-bearers to stop the act of keeping eyes on the property of the Trust for personal gains.
Stating that his attention has been seriously drawn towards the news about the encroachment of Trust’s lands located at Gothatar, he instructed officials to construct walls after determining the area immediately.
He also asked the officials to demolish the infrastructures if people has constructed near it.
According to him, the development of Pashupati was a national pride project and the government’s key priority.
