New IGP Thapa Chhetri conferred insignia



KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shailesh Thapa Chhetri has been conferred an insignia.

Home Secretary Maheshwor Neupane conferred the insignia on IGP Thapa Chhetri amidst a special ceremony organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.

A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday had appointed Thapa Chhetri as the 28th Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Nepal Police.

Thapa Chhetri is taking charge of the office from today itself.  He will hold the post until May 2, 2022.
