NCP Chair Dahal, JSP leader Bhattarai express sorrow over Sindhupalchowk landslides



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property in the landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in Sindhupalchowk.

The landslides have occurred in various places including Sindhupalchowk, Gulmi and Bajhang districts, causing human loss and property on Wednesday night.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property, Dahal in a Facebook message has urged all the concerned to adopt a strategy to tackle the natural disasters in a sustainable manner.

Meanwhile, senior leader of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Dr Baburam Bhattarai has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property in the landslides in Sindhupalchowk.

Posting a twitter message this morning, Dr Bhattarai said, “It is sad to hear the loss of lives and property in the landslides triggered by incessant in various places in the country including Sindhupalchowk.”

Dr Bhattarai has said the roads should be constructed only after shifting the human settlement to a safer area.
