Three die in separate road accidents



KATHMANDU: Police have confirmed that a helper of a vehicle died when a Nissan van met with an accident at Banepa municipality-4 in Kavrepalanchowk.

According to the Area Police Office, Banepa, 18-year-old Sujan Wagle of Suryabinayak municiplaity-7 died when the van — Ba 1 Ka 9236– en route to Nala Shera of Kavre from Suryabinayak of Bhaktapur overturned on the road because of brake fail.

Critically injured Wagle died while undergoing treatment at Banepa-based Sheer Memorial Hospital, according to the police.

Police have arrested the driver and initiated investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, a youth died at Damak in Jhapa after electric leakage.

Mitra Dangi, 40, of Dhyangri died on the spot while supplying water to his under-construction house at Damak municipality-2 after power leakage from electric motor devised in the tube-well, according to ward chair Kedar Katuwal.

Meanwhile, a driver died when he fell down off the road after a tractor met with an accident at Machhapuchhre rural municiplaity-4 in Kaski.

The tractor — Ga 1 Ta 2283 — fell down around five meters off the road while returning after cultivating paddy field at Machhapuchhre Batuleghar in Kaski. Tractor driver Ram Chandra Adhikari, 45, sustained injury after the tractor crushed him and later died while receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital, informed DSP Rajendra Babu Regmi.
