NCP leaders call for party unity as intra-party feud deepens

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders have advised top leaders of the party to resolve the ongoing intra-part dispute through dialogues at the earliest.

Taking to social networking sites, NCP leaders have piled pressure on party heavyweights including chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal and KP Sharma Oli to seek a solution to the existing problem through dialogues after intra-party crisis deepened further.

NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha has stressed party unity. Posting a twitter message, Shrestha said, “Comrades!  We should play a constructive role from our side at this time of crisis for revolutionary transformation of the country.”

Similarly, Chief Minister of Pradesh 5 and NCP Standing Committee Member Shankar Pokharel said “There is no alternative to party unity. It is the duty of both the chairmen to protect the party based on the agreement reached in the past.”

Likewise, Former Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Baskota has also underlined the need to strengthen the party by resolving the ongoing intra-party feud.

Baskota says, “Nepal Communist Party was formed not based on mathematical calculates but the decision of the party chairmen. The party statute also stresses consensus to resove any kinds of differences rather than through minority and majority.

Similarly, Kishor Bikram Malla, former President of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFFU) has suggested that the ongoing dispute should be resolved through intensive dialogues.

“Let’s hold intensive dialogues and disseminate the message of unity among the people of Nepal by rising above the political prejudices,” He posted on his Facebook.
