COVID-19: Nepal reports 482 new cases, total surges to 14,046

KATHMANDU: Nepal COVID-19 tally has reached 14,046 with the addition of 482 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that among the newly infected are 365 males and 117 females.

According to him, 4,886 samples were tested through the PCR method in the last 24 hours.

Testing laboratories have been established in all seven provinces, he said. Currently, 23 labs are in operation across the country, and the government is planning to add 10 more labs in the near future.

Likewise, the number of recovered people has reached 4,656 across the country.

Currently, 9,360 people are in isolation and 48,362 in quarantine centers across the country.

COVID-19 has spread to all 77 districts of Nepal.
