COVID-19 kills 507 in a single day in India



KATHMANDU: As many as 507 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India, with the new deaths, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 17,400 so far.

Similarly, the number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 585, 493, with 18,653 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra State of India is the hardest-hit with over 174,000 infection cases and 7,855 deaths followed by Tamilnadu with over 90,000 infection cases and 201 deaths.

Similarly, over 87,000 people have been infected and 2,742 have succumbed to the coronavirus so far in New Delhi.

Uttar Pradesh has reported 23,000 infection cases ad 697 deaths while Bihar State of India has  over 10,000 infection cases and 67 deaths.

Meanwhile, a total of 347,979 people have recovered from COVID-19 in India so far.
