KATHMANDU: A Nepal Police Head Constable shot himself to death in Sunsari on Monday evening.

Police Head Constable Omprakash Khatiwada, 35, who was deployed for security of District Court Judge Shankar Bahadur Rai, shot himself.

According to police, he had opened fire at himself in the premises of the district court in Sunsari and died while undergoing treatment.

The cause for the suicide is yet to be known, police said, adding that Khatiwada had resumed duty only a few days back.
