3,013 return home after recovery so far

KATHMANDU: As many as 3,013 COVID-19 patients have returned home after recovery in Nepal so far.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, some 179 people were discharged in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry says around 9,731 people are currently in isolation and 61,731 in quarantine facilities across the country.

As of Sunday afternoon, the total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 12,772 with 463 new coronavirus confirmed cases, including 358 males and 105 females in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said.

Until Sunday, the ministry performed 210,876 sample tests through the PCR method so far, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr Jageswor Gautam said.

He informed that some 4,962 sample tests were performed through the PCR method and 2,732 samples test performed though the RDT method until Sunday afternoon.

COVID-19 has spread to all 77 districts of Nepal.
