COVID-19 spreading in community in Baglung



BAGLUNG: Coronavirus pandemic that was noticed in the Parbat district is now found spreading at the community level in Baglung.

First time in the COVID-19 cases among the staff, the pandemic is found to have gone beyond the quarantined people.

The PCR report that came on Saturday evening revealed that 3 more people were infected from the pandemic. After finding that the newly infected people had not quarantined themselves, the public offices, NGOs and other social service organizations have arranged for the emergency meeting to discuss about the prevention and protection measures.

Out of 5 coronavirus positive cases of Saturday evening, 3 are from the community level. Two persons in the quarantine are India-returnees whereas three cases were found to be the people involved in quarantine arrangement.

Among 3 community cases, 2 people from Kathekhola-5, Bihu are those executing their duty of quarantine management  whereas 1 is a security personnel of Baghchour Municipality, Salyan  performing his duty in Baglung.

Suraj Gorau, the Chief of District Health Office, Baglung informed that the newly-found cases and the people who came into contact with them are advised to stay at home.
