Nepal’s population crosses 30 million



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s population has crossed 30 million, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

If the information posted on CBS’s website is to be considered, the country’s population has crossed 30 million.

The current population is based on the adjustment for the birth and death rates, and the migration rate on the 2011 Census data. According to the 2011 census, the population of Nepal was 26.494 million.

CBS is conducting the next census next year. It is held every 10 years in the country.
