13 flights bringing 1,231 Nepalis from abroad Thursday



KATHMANDU: As many as 13 international repatriation flights will be operated on Thursday to bring back stranded Nepali people from various countries.

In the course of rescue, a total of 1,231 Nepalis are being brought from six countries.

According to Bigyan Dev Pandey, the Spokesperson for the Nepal Army, 347 are coming from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Similarly, those returning home via chartered flights today include 308 from Qatar, 158 from Kuwait, 158 from Britain, and 260 from Japan.

Pandey further said 158 among 347 Nepalis are coming via a flight of Himalayan Airlines while 189 Nepalis are being rescued by a flight of Fly Dubai.

Similarly, Himalaya Airlines conducting a flight to bring 158 out of 308 Nepalis from Qatar while remaining 150 are coming via a flight of Qatar Airlines.

Likewise, Nepal Airlines are bringing Nepali people from Kuwait and Japan.

Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, they will be sent to different holding centers in Kathmandu.

It should be noted that a total of 1,002 Nepalis arrived Nepal from six different countries on Wednesday.

As many as 14 international flights were operated on Wednesday.

An aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) brought some 255 Nepalis from Jeddah.

Likewise, Turkish Airlines brought 282 Nepalis from Istanbul, and four Nepalis arrived in Kathmandu from Malaysia via Malaysian Airlines plane.

Similarly, Himalaya Airlines flights brought 149 Nepalis from Dubai, 155 from Kuwait and 154 from Dammam, according to TIA.
